Melanie Blalock started the diet after working at a health food store and credits eating gluten-free to her weight loss and feeling less fatigued over-all. Now when she eats gluten she gets a stomach ache even though she does not technically have an allergy.
Jacie Vasek has been diagnosed with celiac since age 12 and keeps a strict diet all the way down to which makeup she uses. She thinks that "the fad" is great for awareness. She says, "The fad diet is the best thing that's happened to celiac disease."
