The Australian NSW Food Authority has some very good news for people living with celiac disease. A recenty study found taht food items labeled as gluten-free were found to have a 95% compliance in gluten content labeling and content requirements of the Food Standards Code in relation to a gluten-free claim.
This study marks just one of many surveys of high risk foods conducted by the NSW Food Authority to ensure consumers are not at risk of compromising their health by inaccurate or misleading labelling.
