Hacking cough, inhalers, ventilizers...they're no fun, but are completely necessary if you or a child has asthma. Now, a new study from Europe has linked the common childhood condition to celiac disease.
The new study found that people with celiac disease have a 60% more likely chance of developing asthma when compared with their healthy counterparts. The study leader, Dr. Jonas Ludvigsson, explained that the findings simply shows an association between the two diseases and not that one directly causes the other. He also stressed that the role of Vitamin D could play a large role in the correlation between celiac and asthma.

This is very good article. People who have a relative with celiac disease have an increased risk of developing the disease.
